45th meeting of the UN Commission on Population and Development (CPD) which took place on 23-27 April 2012 adopted a landmark resolution on Adolescents and Youth, its first ever on this subject matter. The resolution provides a groundbreaking framework for action on the health and human rights of adolescents and youth (10-‐24). In addition, it sets an important precedent and creates a favorable climate for advancing the sexual and reproductive rights agenda in the context of the 20th anniversary of the ICPD in 2014 and the review of the Millennium Development Goals in 2015. RESURJ members were there observing the negotiations and doing advocacy work on the ground.
