Umba Zalira

Umba Zalira is a Pan African feminist based in Malawi. She has over 10 years’ experience working in the development sector with a focus on sexual reproductive health for adolescent girls and young women. She has led the designing & implementation of national programs focused on youth SRHR, community mobilization, safeguarding and GBV prevention & response. She is passionate about community, movements and story telling. 

What brings me joy: body movement – I am currently enjoying lifting weights and discovering different things my body is capable of. I love live music, sunbathing, long walks, nature and the sound of rain.
