Sapphire Alexander is a young Caribbean feminist and gender-justice activist from Trinidad and Tobago. She is the founder of Caribbean Feminist, a youth-led initiative dedicated to advancing gender equality, social justice, and LGBTQIA+ rights across the region. Passionate about bridging technology and activism, Sapphire combines her background in computer science with her commitment to gender and environmental justice. Through campaigns like Youth Against Gender-Based Violence and digital storytelling projects, she amplifies the voices of young people and challenges stereotypes about feminism in the Caribbean. Representing young intersectional feminists, Sapphire continues to advocate for environmental justice, inclusive education, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and safer communities for women and girls.
