Every year, 20 November is observed as the Transgender Day of Remembrance across the globe to draw attention to the continued violence endured by transgender, and gender-diverse people.

Transrespect versus Transphobia Worldwide’s (TvT) research project, “Trans Murder Monitoring (TMM),” a project systematically monitoring, collecting, and analysing reports of homicides of trans and gender-diverse people worldwide, has shared the information around the trans and gender-diverse people we have lost to murder and violence between 1 October 2020 and 30 September 2021.

Building on this very research, we have created a visual map with clickable geo tags which contains the information around each person we have lost. We do this to remember and honour those who are not present with us today.

Say their names. Remember their names.
