The High level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) took place from 5th- 18th July, 2022 in New York under the theme “Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development ”. Our member from Sri Lanka joined HLPF this year along with our accomplice from Argentina (also a member of Vecinas Feministas). Both countries were conducting Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) at HLPF this year.  

RESURJ members from Egypt, Mexico, Sri Lanka and Zambia attended the ILGA conference which was held from 2-6 May, 2022 in California.

We, alongside our accomplices, particularly Diverse Voices and Action for Equality (DIVA for Equality) from Fiji, saw CSW66 as an opportunity to maintain momentum from the 26th Conference of Parties (COP26) and climate summit, and build towards COP27 in November, 2022. 

In an effort to expand constituencies of South-based younger feminists who are leading movement building for sexual and reproductive justice and creating a stronger foundation for transformative social change in our communities and contexts, we supported our member from the UK and  a younger feminist accomplice from Fiji to attend COP26.
