On August 12-15, 2013 RESURJ members took part in the First Session of the Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean in Montevideo. The conference ended with the adoption of the Montevideo Consensus, which includes progressive language on sexual orientation and gender identity as well as comprehensive sexuality education and abortion rights.
