Survey on Criminalization related to COVID-19 in our countries
Thu 04/23/2020, 12:00

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread rapidly and there are many health, social, economic, and governance challenges arising with it, often interconnected. People all over the world are affected, and the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic is being felt differently across populations and groups. Vecinas Feministas por la Justicia Sexual y Reproductiva en América Latina and RESURJ seek to build a feminist analysis of the myriad of measures taken to combat the spread of the virus. In particular, we are aiming to gain a better understanding of the punitive or criminalized measures being put in place and implemented in our countries vis-a-vis containment efforts such as social distancing, isolation, curfew and quarantine within the framework of health measures for the prevention of COVID-19.

We’d like to invite you to share the situation in your countries through this survey. Your responses will contribute to an intersectional feminist analysis on this issue and support in developing public health advocacy messages that are feminist, and grounded in human rights and gender justice.

Please share widely. You can find the survey in additional languages here:
